In spring of 2024, DUC began the process of compiling a Strategic Plan for the Boreal Wetland Centre to guide our activities for the next three years. In collaboration with the Wetland Centre Advisory Group and Wetland Centre Funders Group, a vision and mission statement were developed for the Boreal Wetland Centre along with core values, guiding principles, strategic priorities and goals.
Whether it be for site improvements, programming, or building relationships in the community, the Strategic Plan will act as a grounding point to help guide decision making for Boreal Wetland Centre Staff.

To inspire a culture of wetland and environmental stewardship through learning, innovation, and information sharing.
Mission
To promote wetland and natural environment stewardship by providing a trustworthy environment to discuss, test, teach, and share information about boreal wetlands and practices for wetland conservation, management, and restoration on the working landscape.
